Comparecare 1Image Associates was part of a special creative team assembled by health consultant Mary Angel to develop a new website for the West Virginia Health Care Authority (WVHCA). The new website, www.comparecarewv.gov, provides a central source where consumers can compare services and the comparable costs for those services at all West Virginia hospitals.

Users can search the website by procedure or location and receive a chart that lists all relevant facilities that offer specific treatments within a specifically chosen distance from a consumers home zip code.

Angel noted that consumers without health insurance now have a resource available that could help them find the most cost effective treatment available. The site also contains resources for discovering other general health care information.

The project, a collaborative effort between the WVHCA IT department and Image Associates, began in October and went live on January 31, 2007.

The site is a .NET site on Microsoft Servers and is hosted by the WVHCA. Image Associates interpreted Angels designs and coded them for browser display using xhtml and css. Image Associates also assisted WVHCA with back end programming in the .NET environment by providing a link between the front-end design and the database used to drive the content.

Staff members of the Office of the West Virginia Insurance Commissioner were pleased with the reception their exhibit received at the 2006 West Virginia State Fair.

Staff members unveiled three new pull-up display banners, a scrolling banner and nine new agency brochures designed by Image Associates art director Sharon Harms.

Our new display looked gorgeous and was definitely a hit at the State Fair, said Communications Specialist Jason Butcher. We even had other exhibitors ask where we had our display designed. It was beautiful.

Image Associates designed three pull-up banners that were used as a backdrop for the display booth. The pull-up displays were full color and can be used together as a set or displayed separately.

The lightweight banners roll up in a solid base unit that makes set up and take down a snap. Each unit weighs less than five pounds and the combo banners are easily transported and stored.

Full color agency brochures were designed to complement the pull-up displays and were prominently displayed on a specially designed table cover.

The full color scrolling banner displayed interesting facts about the office and its mission and completed a rotation every 60 seconds. Scrolling banners can be set to scroll in either direction. Scrolling banners require exhibitors to have access to electrical power at the display booth location.

iAproductions, a subsidiary of Image Associates, LLC, has become West Virginia’s first video production company with high definition (HD) production and editing capabilities, according to Managing Member Bill Hogan.

“Critics once said that the Charleston market was too small to support a high definition post-production company”, said Hogan. With this upgrade, West Virginians are no longer forced to leave the state to both future-proof and obtain top quality for their work. We can provide traditional clients, television stations and cable channels with content that is HD ready.

iAproductions decided to upgrade the company’s post-production capabilities as part of its move into a new suite of offices. The company moved into the recently completed Fifth Third Center on Virginia Street.

The move allowed iAproductions to offer clients a choice of two new customer-friendly edit suites. Each suite has been soundproofed and individually climate controlled. A new Final Cut Pro HD online studio has been completed to complement an upgraded AVID offline suite. Both suites feature in-house animation and effects with FCP Motion, After Effects, Particle Illusion and Carrera Studio.

The Final Cut Pro nonlinear editing system utilizes a Power Mac Quad G5 computer to run the Apple Final Cut Pro Studio which features Final Cut Pro HD, DVD Studio Pro, Motion and Soundtrack.

“The new editing system allows us to edit standard definition uncompressed as well as DVC Pro high-definition video at up to 720p or 1080i”, said Hogan who noted that all television stations are required to begin broadcasting in high definition in 2009.

Having recently opened a new office in Palm Beach, Florida, as well as expanding reserve holdings in Illinois, the Cline Group believes a new company image and method of delivering information will enable them to communicate with their clients most effectively. Michael Herron, Sharon Harms and Carl Varney are currently working in depth with the Cline Group on this project.
